OUTING TO KILKENNY CITY ON TUESDAY 30TH JUNE 2009.
The committee of the Head Office Branch would like you to join us on the train to Kilkenny and meet with some of your former work colleagues and friends,
The arrangements are informal and the following is suggested:
Meet: Heuston Station at 9. 15 a. m. for 9.30 am. Waterford train, arriving in Kilkenny at 11.20
Return trains to Dublin: 15.48 pm. and 19.19 pm.
Return Bus Eireann. No. 7 to Dublin from the Railway Station at 16.15, 17.05, 18.45and 21.40pm.
Boarding the bus at Patrick St. Kilkenny is 10 minutes earlier than the Railway Station times. (Check for change on the day)
Some may prefer to travel to or from Kilkenny by train and/or bus to suit your particular needs. Check out what suits your travelling friends and partners.

Kilkenny Castle -
Go back in time to a 12th century castle, set in 1830’s splendor with extensive parklands and including art gallery and. bookshop. Guided tours only.

Rothe House, Parliament Street, Kilkenny -
A unique 16th. Century Merchant’s townhouse comprising three houses, three courtyards and a large garden. Home to a fine collection of local history artifacts.

Black Abbey, Abbey Street, Kilkenny -
Don’t miss The Black Abbey, a Dominican Church founded in 1225 by William Marshall, Earl of Pembroke, now restored to its original splendor with spectacular stained glass windows.
